How to download from Google Drive
Many had problems bulk downloading files from Google Drive? Downloading directly from Google Drive website causes the files and folders to be in a mess? Google’s zipping and downloading process takes too long or extremely slow downloading speed and eventually having error and not downloading after waiting? Fret no more as we have found a solution.
First you need to
Uninstall and delete Google Drive for Mac/PC if you have it installed
You may see a message that Google Drive for Mac/PC no longer syncs the files on your computer.
To sync the files on your computer, uninstall Google Drive, then install Backup & Sync or Drive File Stream.
then you have to download this
macOS
Open Finder.
At the top, click Go Applications.
Right-click Google Drive click Move to trash.
To continue syncing your files to your computer, install Backup & Sync or Drive File Stream.
Optional: You can also delete the "Google Drive" folder in your home directory.
Windows
Open the Start menu.
Click Control Panel Programs.
Click Programs and Features Google Drive.
Click Uninstall.
To continue syncing your files to your computer, install Backup & Sync or Drive File Stream.

Once downloaded, restart your computer.
There should be a Google Drive shortcut / folder in your drive. Here is where the magic begins.
From here on whenever someone send you a link to download, add it to your drive.
Go to the shortcut on your computer and navigate to the folder. Now all you have to do is to copy and paste the files and folders to your desktop or hard disk and wait for it to be transferred. I have tested it several times and find it to be many times faster and more efficient.
